High-pressure pumps in the oil and gas industries are used in a wide range of applications. Haisheng has solutions and products offering in almost all scenarios where high-pressure pumps are required. In the oil and gas industries, the characteristics of continuous, safety and stable operation of high-pressure pumps are particularly important, and easy to maintain as well.
High pressure pump and the transportation of oil and gas
Oil and gas production is often located far from the countries that have large demand, so long-distance pipelines and special tubing are chosen to transport oil and gas. Oil is a liquid at normal or slightly elevated temperatures, so an easy way to transport it to a refinery is through a pipeline. It is also possible to transport oil and gas to the onshore pumping station with tubing, which is about every 60 to 100 kilometers along the transfer line.
What is primary oil recovery, secondary oil recovery and tertiary oil recovery?
In the petroleum industry, primary oil recovery means the method of producing oil by simply relying on various natural energies such as rock expansion, side water driving, gravity, natural gas expansion, etc.
The oil recovery method that raises the pressure of the oil layer by gas injection or water injection is called secondary oil recovery.
The method of using physical and chemical method to displace the discontinuous and difficult-to-exploit crude oil in the oil layer is called tertiary oil recovery. It mainly includes injecting fluid or heat to change the viscosity of the crude oil or changing the interfacial tension between the crude oil and other media in the formation.
What is oilfield water injection?
The water injection device is used to inject the quality water from the injection well into the oil layer to maintain the oil layer pressure. This process is called oil field water injection.
Oilfield water injection is one of the most important ways to replenish energy to the formation and improve oil recovery in the oilfield development process. The level of technical management of water injection wells determines the effectiveness of oilfield development, and also determines the length of life of oilfield development.
What is hydrocracking?
Hydrocracking is actually the first step in the refining process. High pressure hydrogen (eg, 3000 psi) converts hydrocarbon molecules in the feedstock to a more suitable structure under the action of a catalyst, aromatic and naphthenic are converted to paraffinic hydrocarbon molecules in this process, the heterogeneous compound is also gasified and removed in this process, and the molecular chain is interrupted to control the molecular weight distribution. Therefore, the molecular weight of the base oil molecule prepared by hydrocracking is more concentrated than by the conventional method.
The yield of hydrocracking is only 5-15%, so the cost is high. The mineral base oil produced by hydrocracking can reach API Group II or III. In addition to high saturation rate, not easy to oxidize, high proportion of paraffin hydrocarbons, excellent lubricity and less impurities, the viscosity index is also high. The so-called VHVI (Very High Viscosity Index) grade base oil is a mineral oil made of hydrogen crack, and the viscosity index can reach 115~130.
